"A (late night) basement club hidden behind an elusive doorway. Here young and up and coming musicians are encouraged to play along side more established names. The good food is a must at this relaxed and informal club where musicians come to eat, drink and join in the impromptu sessions."

The Sunday Times

"Once you're inside the ambience is pure basement Jazz club and this is a jazz club before all else, with bands seven nights a week, and a double bill Monday to Wednesday. Owner Steve Rubie books more up-and-coming names than anyone else, though without by-passing older players ..and the 606 has earned a reputation as London's most popular musicians' hangout."

Jazz Magazine

"The 606 is a place to relax in and let the evening drift by. The food, drink and music meld together, and before you know it, the small hours of the morning will have crept up on you. You may just wonder where all the time has gone, but you probably won't really care too much!"

Jazz Express

"All the jazz greats play here - both officially with planned gigs...and informally, coming to jam after finishing other gigs. I can honestly say I had one of the most relaxing and enjoyable evenings in the 606, and thoroughly recommend you give it a try."

Cockspur Club Guide

"Incomparably the best jazz club in the world. Great music. Great food. Great atmosphere."

A massive shout out to all the staff at the 606 for a great (and inexpensive) evening last night. I will be recommending this place to all those who love their music groovy and food delectable. Nice one and hope to see you all again soon.

Just a quick note to say a big thankyou. I visited the 606 club for the first time Saturday night with a friend and she and I am still in awe about how cool the place is! The food was excellent, the staff were friendly, the ambience of the place brilliant and Bobby Wellins was fabulous. Dont think I need to say anymore... thanks again... see you very soon

The 606 Club is without doubt one of the "best nights" in London for food, great music and very friendly staff.
