Sunday 19th February “SAMARA”
Samara is a seven piece jazz/latin group lead by sax/flautist Steve Rubie, the owner and driving force behind the 606 Club. Singer Guida de Palma’s amazing vocals have achieved International recognition through her work with the Latin/Funk band “Da Lata” and her own band “Jazzinho”, and the musicians in the band include the likes of Bill Withers, Sting, Whitney Houston and Geoff Beck on their cv’s. The music is an infectious blend of Brazilian Samba, jazz/latin and Soul, and everyone just has a great time! |

Sunday 26th February HAMISH STUART Hamish, probably best known for his work as the original lead singer/guitarist with “The Average White Band”, has had an illustrious career as both songwriter and performer. He has worked with the likes of Diana Ross, George Benson and Chaka Khan (for whom he wrote the No. 1 chart hit “Whatcha Gonna Do For Me”) culminating in six years with the Paul McCartney Band. Since ’94 he has led his own band, which is a “super-group” in every sense of the word and very much out of the R&B tradition, although considerably more sophisticated than the 70’s version. Guaranteed to be a fantastic night. Don’t Miss! |
