SUNDAY 05th RACHEL MATTHEWS. |
Singer/actress Rachel Matthews has been making quite an impact of late. A regular vocalist with the Gospel Choir "Many Rivers", she has also been forging an impressive career as a solo artists. She has appeared at the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall, and has toured to much acclaim in Australia, New Zealand and Uruguay. As well as Jazz/Soul classics she also writes and performs her own material, which recently won her the prestigious "World Music Songwriting Award". Rachel has graced the stages of London’s finest jazz clubs accompanied by some of this city’s top musicians. A real talent to watch out for. |

SUNDAY 12th FRANK HOLDER |
is a great Afro-Caribbean singer/percussionist who performs classic Jazz standards in the style most closely associated with Frank Sinatra. A stalwart of the British Jazz scene for more than 40 years he is perhaps best known for his long standing association with John Dankworth and Cleo Lane. His high energy, infectious, style is quite captivating, and his set of standards from the 50’s and 60’s is great fun. A consummate performer, and fine musician. |

STEVE KALDESTAD. Steve is a fine Canadian tenor sax player, now resident in London, who has been impressing all who have heard him with his fluent and exciting playing. He studied in Montreal before moving to New York and then finally London. His marvellous sax playing has been heard with the likes of Jimmy Heath, Maynard Ferguson, and Kenny Wheeler. A terrific Jazz player in the classic style, this is great hard bop tenor playing at it’s very best. “…a shoot from the hip tenor player” Canadian National Post. |
