Aitzi Cofre Real
A ferociously talented young vocalist Aitzi Cofre Real burst on to the German scene in 2014, singing and co-writing an award-winning single before settling in London in 2018. While deeply inspired by the likes of Norma Winstone and also citing a love of singers such as Shirley Horn, Irene Kral & Anita Wardell, what truly sets her apart is her connection with her Latin-American roots and her unique exploration of vocal improvisation. A founding member of the award-winning a cappella group The Conchords, she also works with the highly-regarded London Vocal Project directed by Pete Churchill, as well as numerous other instrumental projects. Aitzi will be joined by long-time duo partner and pianist Scottie Thompson, bassist Isaac Burland & drummer Tom Potter. Their musical endeavours are fresh and playful, giving a new sound to the jazz standards and other songs they will be performing this evening.
