An Ivor Novello award-nominated composer, Alex Hitchcock’s fluent, melodic and creative sax style has already made a significant impression on the UK jazz scene with performances at the likes of Love Supreme, the Barbican and Royal Albert Halls and features on BBC Radio 3 and Jazz FM. His fluent and melodic playing has been heard with the likes of the Patchwork Jazz Orchestra, Soweto Kinch, Chris Cheek and the BBC Big Band, and his multiple albums, featuring collaborations with Ant Law and Cherise Adams-Burnett among others, have further showcased his range and creative mastery. Alex's quintet is comprised of the excellent pianist Andrew McCormack (Kyle Eastwood) along with up-and-coming altoist Donovan Haffner, bassist Joe Downward and drummer Luke McCarthy.
