Almanaque ft. Luca Boscagin & Quentin Collins
“Almanaque” is led by Italian-born, London-based guitarist Luca Buscagin & features UK trumpet ace Quentin Collins, along with the Brazilian triumvirate of bassist Matheus Nova, drummer Raphael Delfino & percussionist Jansen Santana. Their debut album, "Nada para o Carnaval" (Nothing stops the Carnival) on Ubuntu Music beautifully combines jazz with Brazilian rhythms and African influences into a captivating whole. Citing Afro-Brazilian legend Milton Nascimento as a primary influence, their dynamic & uplifting live performances express their desire to always “find something to celebrate and appreciate in this world”. Among them, the five members have performed with artists including Kyle Eastwood, Omar, Heidi Vogel, Emilia Martensson, Antonio Forcione, Adriano Adewale & more-truly a world-class quintet!
