Baiana
Born in Liverpool but blessed in Rio, Baiana is a Brazilian-influenced band that plays a beautifully crafted mix of authentic Brazilian jazz flavoured by subtle elements of pop. Singer and bandleader Laura Doyle says the music they play was shaped by the years she lived in Rio De Janeiro and the romance and beauty of the place and its people. Accompanied by an A list band of Latin specialists including Neil Angilley-piano (Vanessa Mae, Samara) & John Wheatcroft-guitar (Mozes Rosenberg) the music reflects the passion and infectious rhythms of Brazil.
