Benefit For Neville Malcolm
Neville Malcolm is one of the most in-demand bass players in the country. He started working in the early 90’s with the leading Acid Jazz musicians of the time and since then has gone on to a stellar career, including work with the likes of Roy Ayers, Billy Cobham, Gregory Porter, Tom Jones and George Benson. Recently he has suffered from some health issues and although he is now making steady progress he is still unable to work. One of our favourite musicians here at the Club we were more than happy to host a Benefit for him, which unsurprisingly features some of the finest musicians on the UK jazz scene, including Dave Lewis (sax), Lizzie Deane, Lily Dior, Shireen Francis, Sarah Moule, Gavin Holligan (vocals), Robin Aspland, Carl Hudson, Tim Lapthorn (piano/kybds), Al Cherry, Carl Orr, Bobby Quigley (gtrs) amongst many others. So do come down, hear some great music and support one of the nicest musicians on the scene.
If you'd like to support Neville but are unable to attend this show, a GoFundMe account has been established on his behalf: https://gofund.me/1a4b5dcc
