Bobby Quigley Trio featuring Gina Foster
This fantastic gig is led by guitarist Bobby Quigley, a formidable young musician who includes work with the likes of Pete Ray Biggin, Imaani and Katie Leone on an impressive cv. The music will be an infectious blend of Groove and Jazz, taking as its starting point the heavy grooves of US guitarist Charlie Hunter, but also featuring a selection standards by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Herbie Hancock, Leon Ware and the occasional original thrown in for good measure. Bobby's special guest this evening will be the brilliant singer Gina Foster. Probably best known for her assocation with the iconic group “Swing Out Sister” Gina is a truly gifted singer who has worked prolifically in jazz, R&B, groove, pop and dance music with high profile artists including Eric Clapton, Sinead O’Connor and many more. Bassist Karl Rasheed Abel (Sowto Kinch, Laura Mvula) and drummer Saleem Raman (Polly Gibbons, Robert Mitchell) complete this outstanding quartet.
