Carl Orr's Farewell Gig
““Orr has a penchant for a good melody and while undoubtedly jazz based he often likes to keep the music simple…this knack for a beautiful melody is…superbly and sensitively played””

From a two-decade association with iconic US drummer Billy Cobham through work with the likes of George Duke, Randy Brecker and Nigel Kennedy to touring with Sting (who described Carl as “a friend and a great guitarist”), award-winning expat Australian guitarist Carl Orr is a world-class artist. A prolific composer Carl has recorded ten albums, the latest being his solo guitar album "Bordertown Sunrise" and in 2017 he was inducted into the South Australian Music Hall of Fame. After almost 28 years in London Carl has decided to move back to Australia, so to celebrate his final gig in the UK Carl has assembled an All-Star band (a 'dream band') of masterful musicians to perform the music he loves: Tomasz Bura-keyboards, Laurence Cottle-bass & Francesco Mendolia-drums. Expect a memorable evening from one of the international scene’s great players.
