Sydney Morning Herald
An artist of international standing, Caroline Loftus was featured on the 2009 BBC “Children in Need” album, guested on Omar Puente's "Best Foot Forward" & released three of her own jazz records. Her CV includes work at prestigious venues around the world, including the Sydney Opera House, Hong Kong Arts Centre and the Nederland Dance Theatre. She currently performs with several groups, including FRED, an homage to “1950’s Havana & the swinging sounds of Hollywood” as well as the renowned Cuban outfit The Sugar Kings, and has been busy writing music for American TV via her project “Riveraire”. Tonight Caroline will be bringing her "swing" show to the Club, featuring music from the 20's and 30's, which she describes as "fun music and effortless swing from a great band", that stellar band including the wonderful Laurence Corns-guitar, Mike Piggott-violin and Rod Youngs-drums. A sophisticated and exciting gig from one of the masters of jazz vocals.
