A versatile and talented musician pianist Chris Richardson brings his trio to the Club this evening for the first time. Well versed in both classical music and jazz, both as a pianist and trumpet player, Chris has honed his impressive skills in a wide variety of settings. As well as a performer he has also developing a well earned reputation as a composer, with his piano solos garnering over 3 million views across streaming platforms and his compositions being used on CNBC and BBC in addition to thousands of YouTube videos from independent creators. Tonight he will be performing a mix of jazz standards, imaginative covers and original compositions from his first jazz trio album, "One Tree, Many Branches". He describes the music played by the trio as “combining lyrical melodies and contemporary grooves, seamlessly blending elements of improvisation, popular music, and classical influences into a rich and captivating soundscape”. Also featuring George Richardson-bass and Joe Steyn-drums this is thoughtful, swinging, music played with both sophistication and passion.
