Claire Martin Quartet 'Remembering Richard'

Multi-award winning jazz vocalist and BBC broadcaster Claire Martin OBE celebrates the music of her much missed musical partner the late Sir Richard Rodney Bennett with a program made up of his original songs and favourite songwriters. Performing material from the forthcoming album dedicated to Richard entitled ‘I Watch You Sleep’ recorded with American conductor/arranger Scott Dunn and the RPO, the evening will include songs written by Vernon Duke, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mandel and of course Richard himself. Accompanied by three of the UK’s most in demand jazz musicians, pianist Rob Barron, bassist Jeremy Brown and drummer Mark Taylor this concert will be a heartfelt musical homage to a giant of music.
