Freddie Benedict
Starting out as lead vocalist with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra Freddie Benedict has gone on to establish himself as one of the most talented singers of his generation. His soft, velvety, voice and melodic trumpet playing are reminiscent of the great Chet Baker, so it’s no surprise that he’s burst headlong onto the jazz scene! The programme tonight, performed with his quintet, will include his favourite James Taylor songs through hits from the Great American Songbook to his impressive original material. Also featuring Jessica Bullen-sax.
“Freddie’s mastery of his vocal instrument…is unparalleled amongst his peers” Jon Smith (Swingle Singers)
