Geoff Eales
With over 40 years of experience on the UK music scene, Welsh-born Geoff Eales is a brilliant and fluent jazz pianist. Also an accomplished composer and arranger he includes work alongside the likes of Leonard Bernstein, Henry Mancini, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Shirley Bassey, Jose Carreras & Kiri Te Kanawa on a massive CV (which also includes his remarkable musical, “Spirit of the Mine”, about the Welsh coal-mining industry). But jazz has always been Geoff’s passion and since 1999 he has issued a steady stream of highly acclaimed albums alongside appearances at international festivals, cementing his reputation as a creative and passionate performer. Appearing tonight with his trio featuring Matt Ridley-bass and Sophie Alloway-drums this promises to be a great night of music from a very old friend of the Club.
