Graham Harvey featuring Dave O'Higgins
One of the most respected pianists on the scene today Graham Harvey includes an impressive roster of high profile bands on his CV, including George Benson, iconic acid jazz band “Incognito”, the Hamish Stuart Band, the Laurence Cottle Big Band and the BBC Big Band. Currently the featured pianist with Grammy-nominated singer Stacey Kent, Graham’s fluent and melodic playing has been heard and admired worldwide. Also featured tonight is one of this country’s finest modern jazz sax players, Dave O'Higgins, who has worked with the likes of Cleo Laine, John Dankworth, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Wayne Shorter and Nancy Wilson. The winner of a multitude of awards, he has produced 19 albums to date of his own solo material and appeared on innumerable sessions and festivals around the world. A composer, arranger, educator and latterly recording engineer and producer, his current projects include work with the internationally renowned Darius Brubeck Quartet. Completing the quartet tonight will be Jeremy Brown (Stacey Kent, BBC Big Band)-bass and Josh Morrison (Stacey Kent)-drums.
