Jeremy Stacey
Jeremy Stacey is a powerful and highly impressive drummer, who is equally at home playing pop, rock, funk or straight ahead jazz. Jeremy’s CV is vast, including work with the likes of Tom Jones and The Finn Brothers. The regular drummer with American icon Sheryl Crow for over 7 years, Jeremy toured the world (twice!) with his friend Noel Gallagher’s “High Flying Birds” and is currently one of the three featured drummers with the iconic band King Crimson ... you get the idea, he's very good! An old friend of the Club, Jeremy still sometimes finds time in his busy schedule to play the occasional gig, something he has been doing here at the 606 on a regular basis for more than 20 years whether with his tribute to Steely Dan or, as on this occasion, with his contemporary jazz quartet. For this performance, Jeremy has assembled three of the most talented players on the current jazz scene: Jason Rebello (Sting, Jeff Beck)-keyboards, Yamaha Jazz Scholar/Kenny Wheeler Jazz Prize winner and Whirlwind/Edition artist Josh Arcoleo-saxophone and Jonathan Harvey (Native Dancer, Jordan Rakei, Cinematic Orchestra)-bass. One of the most respected drummers of his generation, Jeremy’s gigs are always guaranteed to be both exciting and of the very highest musical calibre.
