Jeremy Stacey
A powerful and highly impressive drummer Jeremy Stacey’s CV is vast. The regular drummer with American icon Sheryl Crow for over 7 years, he toured the world (twice!) with his friend Noel Gallagher’s “High Flying Birds” before becoming one of the featured drummers with the iconic band King Crimson. Tonight, in a change of feel, he will be appearing with an exciting new modern jazz quintet including pianist Ivo Neame (Phronesis, Kairos 4tet), guitarist David Preston (‘Preston Glasgow Lowe’, Melody Gardot, Curtis Stigers), saxophonist Graeme Blevins (Delta Saxophone Quartet, Phil Collins) and bassist Niklas Lukassen (Gwilym Simcock, Kurt Rosenwinkel). One of the most respected drummers of his generation, Jeremy’s gigs are always guaranteed to be both exciting and of the very highest musical calibre.
“…a fine…drummer with an infectious feel. His gigs are ...invariably enlivened by some top class guests” Time Out; "An inventive and...able pianist [Neame's] ideas....poured out in a confident stream of power and conviction" Evening Standard; "[Preston] Reimagining jazz – with modern invention and creative innovation" Jazz Journal
