Lizzie Deane
With her deeply soulful voice, warm persona and infectious performance style, groove singer Lizzie Deane’s voice has been described as a “powerful, show-stopping instrument”. A highly regarded and in-demand session vocalist, her many musical influences include Aretha Franklin, James Brown, The Jacksons, Etta James, Stevie Wonder & Otis Redding. Probably best known at the Club as the vocalist with saxophonist Dave Lewis's band "1UP" (ah, that singer...), she also includes work with the likes of Carleen Anderson, Marcella Detroit, Mica Paris, Jocelyn Brown, Pee Wee Ellis, Boy George and Belinda Carlisle on an impressive and extensive CV encompassing stage, TV and radio. With her own album "Set Me Free" she is without doubt starting to make significant waves on the UK scene! Tonight she brings her fabulous ‘Soul Inspirations’ band (Mo Nazam-guitar, Roger Evan-keyboards, Johann Ting-vocals/percussion, Carl Stanbridge-bass and Mark Claydon, drums) to the Club showcasing ‘all her favourite songs’.
