Jazz Review Magazine
Daniela Clynes is a vocalist who has worked extensively as a jazz singer, songwriter, theatre performer and radio presenter. She produced two albums in the UK through the 2000's before moving to New York, where she lived and performed for a number of years. She returned to London in 2008 and now performs regularly with her own band, as well as with a variety of well established musicians on the UK scene. She also teaches at LCCM (London College of Creative Media), on their Bmus degree course. This afternoon's gig will feature songs from Daniela’s album "Heart Dances", which was born out of a collaboration with pianist John Crawford. The music is a mix of Jazz and Latin styles along with Daniela's European influenced original material. The band for today’s gig features the aforementioned John Crawford-piano along with Simon Little-bass and Frank Tontoh-drums.
