Misha Mullov-Abbado
Winner of the 2014 Kenny Wheeler Jazz Prize and the Dankworth Prize for jazz composition, Misha Mullov-Abbado is a highly respected and in-demand bass player, composer and arranger. A 2014 City of Music Foundation & 2017 BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, Misha has released three extremely well-received albums, picking up “Best Jazz Albums of 2015” plaudits from both the Telegraph and BBC Radio 3. This evening he performs his original compositions and arrangements influenced by a broad spectrum of music from the classical, jazz, pop and folk traditions from around the world. Joining Misha this evening will be: James Davison-trumpet, Matthew Herd-alto sax, Sam Rapley-tenor sax, Liam Dunachie-piano & Scott Chapman-drums.
