Nadim Teimoori
““Nadim’s voice on the tenor is thoughtful, melodic, harmonically advanced, and creative””
Chris Potter
A celebrated saxophonist and composer, Nadim Teimoori is a formidable talent on the contemporary UK jazz scene. Graduating the Royal Academy Of Music it was here he won the prestigious Humphrey Lyttelton Award. Since that then he has been a regular performer on the UK jazz circuit, both as a sideman and bandleader performing regularly at Ronnie’s, The Vortex and at the 606. Widely credited for his sensitive, inventive compositions and a master of established forms within the jazz canon, tonight’s programme will include tunes by John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Thelonious Monk, Paul Motion and Grant Green, as well as Nadim’s own material. It’s a pleasure to be welcoming this gifted saxophonist to the Club for his first time here as bandleader. With Will Barry-piano, Sam Dunn-guitar, Calum Gourlay-bass & David Ingamells-drums.
