Nigel Price with special guest Jim Mullen
Nigel Price is a highly skilled guitarist as well as an accomplished composer whose swinging bebop approach combined with flawless control is a delight. He has played on more than 50 albums, spent ten years with acid jazz outfit the Filthy Six, was a member of James Taylor’s jazz/funk band and has appeared at Ronnie Scott’s over 600 times. As leader he has recorded 9 albums and has received the Parliamentary Jazz Award for Best Jazz Ensemble and the British Jazz Award for ‘Best Small Group’. Tonight Nigel has invited one of the UK’s most iconic musicians, guitarist Jim Mullen, to join him as his Special Guest. A multi-award winner, including a special Honorary Parliamentary Jazz Award in 2017, Jim is widely regarded as one of the finest jazz guitarists in Europe. Remarkably this will be the first time these two stalwarts of the British Jazz scene have ever played together, so expect plenty of exciting music and a great deal of fun.
