Paul Booth
“Paul Booth….an exceptional talent”
Sunday Times
Multi-Award-winning saxophonist Paul Booth has toured the world as the featured sax player with the “Riverdance” show, worked with the likes of Eric Clapton and Matt Bianco and is currently a member of the Steve Winwood Band. Widely considered to be amongst the elite musicians on the scene, tonight he will be bringing his jazz quintet to the Club with his special award-winning guests, Tom Cawley-piano & Alex Ridout-trumpet, performing primarily original music from his latest album themed around the number 44 (“all the tunes have something to do with 4”, it's an age thing apparently!). Great music.
“Blistering saxist” Independent; “Exceptional talent” Sunday Times; “Paul Booth…has long enjoyed a reputation as a sax player of… intensity...[as well as] an interesting composer…. the result is a delight.” Daily Telegraph; “Paul Booth is... effortless ….rich and warm of tone, he is a pleasure to listen to.” Birmingham Post
