Pete Horsfall's 'Mighty Like the Blues'
Singer, trumpet player, songwriter and producer Pete Horsfall is a wonderful mainstream musician, probably best known for his work with Kansas Smitty’s. Tonight he brings to the Club his latest project, "Mighty Like the Blues", an intergenerational collaboration between five of the UK's leading jazz soloists. Alongside Peter is legendary guitarist Jim Mullen and they are joined by the highly respected saxophonist Sam Braysher, one of the UK's great keyboard/organ players Mike Gorman and special guest drummer Josh Morrison. Expect to hear reworkings of pieces like "How Long Blue" and "Jazz Me Blues" sitting alongside ballads such as "I Gotta Right to Sing The Blues". Highly recommended.
