Ray Gelato & Enric Peidro: Tough Tenors Revisited
Saxophonist and singer Ray Gelato has been fondly nicknamed the ‘Godfather of Swing’. Over an illustrious career he includes a long-established residency at London venue Ronnie Scott’s, has performed for HM The Queen (twice), and was chosen to play at Sir Paul McCartney’s wedding. This performance heralds the triumphant return to the 606 of Enric Peidro, Ray's co-headliner for their celebrated 'Tough Tenors' show. A swinging evening with songs from Ray’s new album “Locked Down But Not Out” and favourite standards.
“…the stylish, sharp-suited Gelato …is a larger than life character.” The Times; “Peidro solos…time-feel and tone are sublime” The Jazz Word
