Rory Ingham
Hailing from Yorkshire via Fife, Scotland, Rory Ingham has emerged as a top trombonist on the UK’s fertile jazz scene. A graduate of the Royal Academy, he was named ‘Rising Star’ in the 2017 British Jazz Awards, ‘One to Watch’ in Jazzwise’s 2018 ‘Shape of Jazz to Come’ annual picks, and ‘Student of the Year’ 2018 by the British Trombone Society. In addition to working with a panoply of top UK artists and bands including Claire Martin, Dave Holland, Dennis Rollins, Guy Barker, BBC Big Band & the like both here and abroad, Rory has also led his own various projects, including his Parliamentary Jazz Award-nominated quintet, Bonsai.
For this show Rory will be appearing with his latest quartet featuring renowned contemporaries, Jonny Mansfield-vibes, Joe Lee-bass and Shane Forbes-drums to perform ‘new original music, along with choice standards from the jazz canon’. Yes please!
