It's with great pleasure that we welcome one of our favourite musicians to the Club to celebrate her birthday this afternoon. Drummer Sophie Alloway has been the musician of choice for a wide variety of high profile artists over the last few years and her busy schedule includes appearances on Later with Jools Holland, the Mercury Music Prize and Glastonbury Festival. She has been performing here at the 606 for more than 15 years and today will be celebrating her birthday with one of the bands with whom she works regularly, the highly acclaimed Lydian Collective. Featuring Aaron Wheeler-piano/keyboards, Todd Baker-guitar, Ida Hollis-bass and Sophie on drums, Lydian Collective's recently released album "Adventure" has over a million YouTube views and close to a million Spotify streams. And if all that wasn't enough Sophie has promised a "star filled" Jam Session for the second half of the afternoon, featuring many of her musician friends who have promised to come down and help her celebrate in style!
