Terence Collie - Album Launch
A critically acclaimed pianist on the UK jazz scene, Terence Collie performs regularly at top venues from the Pizza Express and the Jazz Café to the London, Cheltenham & Brecon Jazz Festivals. He’s played with many artists on the circuit, including The Kyle Eastwood Band, Esther Bennett and Jo Harrop (and if that wasn’t enough, is also the Director of Mood Indigo Events, presenting various high-quality concerts in the greater West London/Surrey region). In 2023, Terence recorded the highly regarded solo album ‘Reminiscent’ (“the playing is sublimely beautiful” The Jazz Mann), inspiring him to rapidly start work on his next project, the quartet album, “384,400” which he is officially launching this evening. Featuring Italian saxophonist Roberto Manzin, British bassist Nick Lenner-Webster and US drummer Ted Carrasco, the recording session sought to capture a live feel, with a limit of no more than three takes per track. Dynamic, melodic and swinging, with a range of moods from the upbeat to the contemplative, this promises to be a satisfying night.
