Tribute to John McKenzie
Tonight’s performance is a tribute to prolific bass player and friend of the 606, John McKenzie, who sadly passed away in May of 2020. John had a long and storied career and was greatly admired and respected on the UK music scene. Tonight two of his good friends, guitarist Dave Ital (Chaka Khan, Tom Jones, Nile Rodgers) and vocalist Gina Foster (Swing Out Sister) have arranged an evening of Groove and R&B to Celebrate the life of this fine musician, so expect plenty of great music and a few fun reminiscences as well.
