OUR PHILOSOPHY
For the last 40 years here at the 606 Club we have supported the music scene by providing a welcoming environment for musicians and audiences alike and our online site is a natural extension of that philosophy. The modest annual subscription will support the Club while the individual fees go straight to the musician. Which means none of that .003p/stream that major streaming sites pay, requiring a musician to have 100,000 streams to earn £300. On our site they can earn the same amount with just 200!
Each time you enter imagine you are in a giant bazaar with a twinkling array of musical stalls stretching out before you. Wander through, pick and choose what catches your eye and then enjoy this unique content for less than the price of a takeaway coffee. See you in there…
VIDEO LIBRARY
With already over 50 different videos and more being added daily, find your favourites including Hamish Stuart, Gil Evans, Tony O’Malley, Salena Jones, Jim Mullen, Emma Hatton, Paul Stacey, Barb Jungr, and Stan Sulzmann. Each video has its own Pay to View price, from a general rate of £1.95 (incl.) to £3.50 (incl) for Premium Views. Videos are concert length (minimum 30 minutes, average 45 mins+), unique to this site and accessible for 14 days from the day of purchase.

Lockdown – with the ongoing difficulty of musicians being unable to share a stage we are featuring videos provided by the artists themselves. The majority are of good to excellent quality but there will be the occasional video that is not quite up to the standard that we would, under normal circumstances, require. We have made the decision to include these recordings because we believe it is important that as many musicians as possible should have the opportunity to appear on the site. To make sure you know what you are buying, all videos have been rated for their audio and visual quality and have a 2 minute “taster” available to view before purchase. Please do use that facility to ensure the video you have chosen is what you are looking for.
LIVE streams
From mid June we aim to start high definition live streams from our newly installed facilities here at the Club. We hope to broadcast 2/3 live gigs a week and will be producing a Gig Guide which will be emailed to all Online Members. These gigs will be Pay to View, again with the majority of the income generated going to the musicians themselves. They will be available to the general public, but Online Members will be eligible for a discount for every event with recordings being added to our Member’s Only video library soon after broadcast.
AUDIO
If you want some music to accompany you through the day you will find an Audio Only section on the site. Here you will be able to access audio files from both albums and live recordings which you can listen to at your leisure. The fee for each album or recording will be £2.40 (incl), but that’s not for 14 days…that’s for 6 months!
